He fights to bring glory to his name, he does not fear death. Odin’s  hall, Valhalla, a warrior’s paradise, awaits him. Built of spear shafts and roofed with shields, a wolf hangs above Valhalla’s western door, and an eagle hovers over the wolf. If Odin takes him, the skalds will sing of his bravery, and he will never truly die.
